In the local area…

The Las Vegas area is of course renowned for its gambling, with a host of superb casinos to choose from, but there is so much more to see and do during your stay in Las Vegas.

For some great views, head to the Stratosphere Tower – a hotel, casino, and observation tower which offers unmatched panoramic views of the city along with some thrilling rides (including the third highest thrill ride and bungi jump in the world)… The Stratosphere is in fact the 9th tallest free-standing structure in the US.

Shark Reef Aquarium is a major tourist attraction with fourteen exhibits housing 2,000 animals. You can visit crocodiles, piranhas, sharks and turtles and if you’re brave enough you can even dive with the sharks! Enquiring and booking ahead is recommended.

The Las Vegas Strip is a must! The strip is 4.2 miles long and is lined with some of the finest hotels, casinos and resorts the city has to offer. At night the area lights up with flashing bright lights – an experience not to be missed!

For some culture, Las Vegas is home to some fantastic art galleries and museums. The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art offers one of the largest collections of artistic masterpieces in the world, including twenty by Claude Monet.

The Mob Museum is a top pick! Situated in downtown Las Vegas, the museum is housed by a former federal building and contains some great exhibitions that showcase the battle between the mob and law enforcement.

For the kids, the Las Vegas Natural History Museum has a huge range of artefacts to explore. From dinosaurs to Egyptian treasures, wildlife and marine galleries, there’ll be plenty to keep them busy here!
